Article name change

[edit]

This article needs the name changed as WP doesn't normally have sponsors names in the article title. I suggest that it be renamed 2010 Road America ALMS. Bjmullan (talk) 23:12, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the Long Beach event officially known as 2010 Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach then WP name for this is 2010 American Le Mans Series at Long Beach and therefore I now think that the best option is 2010 American Le Mans Series at Road America. Any objections? I will place a tag on the article to this effect. Bjmullan (talk) 18:21, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing wrong with the title, and there is no requirement to not have sponsors names. The Long Beach title lacks a sponsor simply to shorten the title, give it a common name. Changing "powered by eStar" to "at Road America" isn't a shortening or giving it a common name. The359 (Talk) 19:49, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I support the proposed page move. Maybe call it as "ALMS at Road America" as what it says in the front page. みんな空の下 (トーク) 08:52, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Again, no requirement that titles do not have sponsors names. You can't simply start making up new titles for something. The359 (Talk) 16:37, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No consensus, tag removed. Bjmullan (talk) 22:07, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
